Lucy

Hi, I’m Lucy! I'm about a year old and a medium-sized mix with big, soulful eyes and a wonderfully goofy personality. My journey started rough; I was found injured and unable to walk on the side of the highway in Miami, FL. It was a long road to recovery, but day by day, I got stronger. Now, I'm healthy, happy, and have regained my ability to run! I'm still gaining weight and building muscle, but my spirit is stronger than ever. All I'm missing is my forever family. I’m a very affectionate “Velcro dog” who loves to be near my people. I also love other dogs and would be happiest with a playful canine companion. Whether we're playing, snuggling, or just being together, I'll be right by your side. I’ve been through so much, but I’ve never lost my sweetness, silliness, or capacity for love. I’m excited for every new day and just waiting for someone to share that love with. Is it you?

Ideal Home

Lucy would be happiest in a home with another playful dog. She is a very affectionate and loves to be close to her people.

Ongoing Health

Lucy is healthy and happy, but is still gaining weight and building back muscle from her past injuries.
