Nona is a 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix currently being fostered in Austin, TX. She's in her older puppy era, and her playful personality is really starting to shine as she gains confidence and learns about the world. Nona is built like a tank with a short, sturdy frame and an adorably front-heavy build. She loves to zoom around the backyard with her favorite toys and greets her foster mom with an enthusiastic leap after work.
Nona is a sweet and playful companion who loves being near her people. Her whole body wiggles when she gets excited, and her tail goes a mile a minute. She enjoys meeting new friends and has been practicing her socialization skills. Nona has a stubborn streak that makes her even more lovable and funny. She's incredibly clever and enjoys puzzles and challenges. She is highly motivated by toys and treats, which makes training fun. Nona has mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners. She enjoys walks of up to 2-3 miles and is delightful to have by your side once she arrives at her destination.
Ideal Home
Nona would do well in a home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She would thrive with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from, but she would also be happy as an only dog. She may not love car rides, but once she arrives, she is a delightful companion.

Nona is a healthy, spayed female who is up-to-date on all her vaccinations.
Training & Support
Nona is fully crate-trained and settles in beautifully overnight. She is also doing great with her potty training and needs a family willing to continue reinforcing her routine. She can be a shy watchdog and will alert if she hears or sees something unfamiliar.

Transportation
Nona is currently located in Texas and can be transported out of state when matched with an approved adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
