Sweet Betsy is a loyal, loving Beagle/Basset Hound mix who came to rescue with eight other dogs. She is learning to trust people and may bark when she feels uncomfortable, especially in big crowds. With patience and understanding, Betsy is making progress and will reward her family with deep companionship.

Ideal Home

Betsy loves other dogs and was not bothered by cats in her foster home. She has not lived with children; older, respectful children may be a better fit than small children. She is sensitive to loud noises and unexpected touch, so a calm, patient home will help her feel secure.

Training & Support

Betsy is participating in the DASH Prison Program, where she is learning to socialize with dogs and people. She is working on basic commands and crate training, is housebroken in the prison setting, and walks on a leash.
