Darla (Dresden #15)

Darla is one of 16 remarkable dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Dresden, TN, and is now getting a second chance at happiness. After enduring dire conditions, she's receiving essential care and learning new skills in a loving foster home. With patience and understanding, she's blossoming into a cherished companion. Darla is estimated to be around 9 months old, born approximately December 5, 2024. Despite her difficult start, she has a bright spirit. On the day she was rescued, she gave birth to a daughter, little Darlin'. Darla is a sweet, caring, and gentle mother who would do just about anything for a belly rub. She is protective of her baby but is learning to trust and will thrive with continued kindness.

Ideal Home

Darla would do best in an adult-only home, as the hustle and bustle of children still frighten her. She needs at least two weeks to settle in and trust a new person, so patience is a must. When she warms up to other dogs, she is very playful! She has also been fostered with a cat.

Ongoing Health

Darla will be spayed and receive her rabies, Bordetella, 4 parvo/distemper vaccines, 2 Lepto vaccines, several rounds of deworming, a microchip, and a heartworm test.

Training & Support

Darla requires patience as she adjusts to a new environment and learns to trust. The reward for your patience will be a priceless, loving companion.
