Orion

Orion is a very special boy with a big heart, literally! He's estimated to be around 4 years old, a handsome medium-sized fellow with a smoky past that he's working hard to leave behind. Orion was found wandering and brought to a local shelter, but thankfully, he found his way to us. While he's had a tough start, he's now in a loving foster home and is ready to find his forever family. He enjoys short walks in the early morning and is a champion napper afterward. Orion is a gentle soul who loves his human family and will happily snuggle close. He also has a fantastic appetite and never misses a meal!

Ideal Home

Orion is looking for a peaceful sanctuary where he can feel safe and loved. He would do best in a home without children, as they can be a bit too boisterous for him. He also needs to be the only dog in the household, as he prefers to be a solo act and can be reactive towards other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Orion has a Grade 4 Heart Murmur, for which he receives daily medication (Enalapril) to keep his heart strong. This medication is quite affordable, costing about $13 for a two-month supply. Orion also experiences urinary incontinence and wears a belly band at all times.

Training & Support

Due to past experiences, Orion has a history of biting and requires a patient and understanding family. He has shown significant improvement and calmness since starting his medication and receiving gentle guidance. He is learning to trust and is described as a loner who enjoys human companionship.
