Big Mama

Big Mama is an affectionate, athletic, adventure-loving 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix who enjoys going on walks and meeting new people! She was found laying in the middle of the road and was taken to a local shelter, where she was unfortunately placed on the euthanasia list. Thanks to some dedicated networking, she was rescued and brought to safety. Big Mama is incredibly people-friendly and loves to cuddle. She can be unaware of her size at times, so watch out when she's zooming around the yard! She loves to lounge indoors but is ready for gametime once she's outside.

Ideal Home

Big Mama would do best in a home with only male dogs, as she tends to be more assertive with female dogs. She does not require a doggy sibling to thrive. Due to her energy level and occasional unawareness of her size, a home without young children is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Big Mama was found to be overweight but has since reached a healthier weight of around 60lbs.

Training & Support

Big Mama is potty and crate trained, knows "sit" and "shake," is very smart, and is good on a leash.
