Strawberry Rhubarb

Strawberry Rhubarb is a sweet and energetic 1-and-a-half-year-old mixed breed weighing in at 52 pounds. She's spayed, medically up-to-date, and ready to be your new best friend and adventuring pal! Rhubarb loves people and will run up to you looking for pets. She would thrive in a home with a big yard or one where she gets plenty of walks and adventures.

Ideal Home

Rhubarb has met and likes older kids (9+). We're not sure yet how she feels about very young children or cats. Rhubarb is dog selective, meaning she will only get along with specific dogs, or may prefer to be an only dog. She'd do fine walking past other dogs or co-existing at gatherings, but she doesn't want to be friends with every dog she meets. Because of this, we would highly recommend potential adopters bring any other dogs from the household to the meet-and-greet in order to test compatibility.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Adoption fees include: all vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, deworming, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipping, flea/tick treatment, and spaying or neutering.
• Large dog adoption fees are generally $175 + tax. Small dog and puppy adoption fees are generally $300 + tax. Fees may vary in special circumstances.
• Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.
• All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.

Transporation

Appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash.
