Quill

Quill is a handsome boy with a heart of gold, though he can be a little shy at first. He's a smart cookie who knows "sit" and "paw," and he absolutely loves treats! Once he's out of his kennel and gets his leash on, his true friendly and confident personality shines through. He enjoys leisurely walks, happily sniffing his way through the world. Quill can be a bit reserved when he's in his kennel, but with a little patience and some tasty treats, he'll warm up quickly and show you just how affectionate he can be. He's not interested in toys at the moment, but he's very people-oriented once he feels comfortable.

Quill thrives with a patient adopter who understands he may need a little time to feel secure. He needs a home where he can approach things on his own terms.

Training & Support

Quill can be a bit shy and hesitant in his kennel, sometimes dodging his leash. It's important to go slow, use treats to build trust, and allow him to approach you. He warms up quickly once he feels safe and has his leash on. He has shown some fear-based reactivity during his intake, specifically during medical procedures. Future vet visits and handling will require a calm and patient approach, with plenty of positive reinforcement.
