Maximus is a handsome Rottweiler who has faced more challenges than any dog should, but his spirit remains incredibly strong. He is scheduled to have one of his back legs amputated and is searching for a loving foster home where he can safely recover and embark on his next chapter. He will need a calm, patient caregiver who can provide a comfortable place to rest, assist with his post-surgical care, and shower him with the love he truly deserves. Like many dogs recovering from major surgery, Maximus will thrive in a quiet environment with a consistent routine.

Ideal Home

Maximus does best as the only dog or with very slow, carefully managed introductions to another calm dog. His current focus needs to be on healing, building confidence, and adjusting to life on three legs.
