Meet Brody – a delightful 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix who is the perfect blend of playful spirit and laid-back charm. Brody is currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and is eagerly awaiting his forever family. He’s a rare gem, active enough for outdoor adventures yet content to snuggle up for a lazy day. Whether he's chasing a toy or melting into your side with his signature tongue-out smile, Brody is a lovable goofball who enjoys being part of the family fun, even if it means dressing up for holidays!
Ideal Home
Brody thrives in a home with a secure backyard, perfect for his zoomies and off-leash play. He has done well with friendly, laid-back female dogs, but may be a bit much for smaller or timid dogs. He's also happy to be your one-and-only pup. Brody would love a home with older, dog-savvy children (8-10+) who understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Brody is a healthy boy with no specific health conditions mentioned.
Training & Support
Brody is a smart, food-motivated boy eager to please. He is house-trained and crate-trained, doing wonderfully when left unsupervised. He walks calmly on a loose leash and enjoys strolls. While he has made great progress in his obedience skills, he may still get a little excited around assertive male dogs. With calm guidance and continued positive experiences, he continues to adapt well. Experience with breeds like Cattle Dogs or Pitbulls is recommended, as they are loyal, affectionate, and thrive with a purpose. He would benefit from daily walks, light adventures, and activities like scent work, agility, or basic obedience classes to keep his mind sharp.
