Meet Grizzly, a bundle of joy wrapped in fur, enthusiasm, and pure love for people. He’s got the heart of a puppy and the presence of a gentle giant. If you’re looking for a dog who greets the world like it’s full of friends he hasn’t met yet, Grizzly is your guy. Grizzly is wonderfully social—he adores people and gets along well with most dogs. When he’s excited, he can forget his size and bounce up to say hello, but with a bit of training and consistency, he settles quickly. Underneath all that energy is a big, affectionate sweetheart who just wants to be part of the fun. He’s also a bit of a goofball. When boredom strikes, Grizzly has been known to indulge in some “creative chewing”—cardboard, paper, and yes, even the occasional ottoman. Crates aren’t his thing, but when he’s had enough exercise and mental stimulation, he’s far less likely to get into mischief. Give him a good walk, some playtime, and a job to do, and he’s a happy boy. During his evaluation, Grizzly was a star. He welcomed attention, loved being petted everywhere (even mouth checks and paw handling), and showed no issues with touch or handling. He’s friendly, approachable, and eager to please—just a high-energy dog who needs guidance, structure, and plenty of activity. Grizzly is the kind of dog who will thrive with an active family that can match his enthusiasm and give him the training, exercise, and affection he craves. With the right home, he’s going to be an incredible companion—loyal, joyful, and full of life. If you’re ready for a big, lovable, slightly goofy best friend who will brighten every day, Grizzly is waiting to meet you. Grizzly is currently living with one of our fosters where he is getting a jump start on his training.
