Mochi is pure magic! This happy-go-lucky pup has a heart of gold and is ready to bring his joy to your home. We believe Mochi is a Cur/Pittie mix, but as a rescue, these are our best guesses! He boasts a stunning, sleek, and stylish dark brindle coat that's simply captivating. Mochi is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs a cuddly 66 pounds – perfect for big bear hugs, even if he does think he's a lap dog!
Mochi is incredibly people-oriented, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and a big smile. He's lived with children and has done wonderfully, making him a potential playmate for your kids! He's also a fantastic traveler, sitting like a gentleman in the car and enjoying watching the world go by. While he can get a little excited on leash, he'd do best with someone who can handle his enthusiastic wiggle butt and ready-to-go attitude. Mochi is an absolute adventurer at heart, loving the outdoors no matter the weather, and is always confident and trusting on leash, making him an ideal hiking companion. He's people-oriented enough to check in during adventures, and will happily "sit" on command for a treat at scenic overlooks.
Ideal Home
Mochi would thrive in a home with a yard, but can also do well in an apartment given his personality and social skills. We believe he would be happiest in a home with medium to low energy female dogs, similar to his foster siblings. He could also do well as a solo dog, soaking up all your attention. We recommend him for homes with children aged 10 and up. Mochi should not be placed in a home with cats.

Mochi is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.
Training & Support
Mochi is highly food-motivated, making training enjoyable and rewarding. He already knows "sit" and "stay" and takes treats gently. His favorite treat is beef jerky! He enjoys carrying his toys and will happily do an "inventory" before picking his favorite. He's also great at tug-of-war, though you won't mind losing to such a cute opponent!

Transporation
Mochi is available for adoption in NV, MT, CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and the East Coast. Our PNW dogs are transported via a USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning and attended by two drivers for 24-hour care. East Coast transport is via a private, air-conditioned 3LP-run van. You can follow your dog's journey on a private Facebook Event page. An adoption coordinator can help you find the closest transport pick-up location. There is an additional $87 surcharge for transport.
