Tony

Tony is a 4-year-old Spaniel/Great Pyrenees mix who is knee-high, 62 pounds of pudge, and an expert in the art of hiding behind his people. He’s shy, timid, and convinced the outside world is a little too loud, but he’s also curious enough to poke his nose out and take a look before retreating to safety. Tony was a COVID puppy who didn’t get much socialization, so people, dogs, and cats are all a bit of a puzzle to him. He’s learning, though, and will reward patient, kind adopters with gentle companionship and the occasional brave peek out from behind your legs.

Ideal Home

Tony is looking for a quiet home with a fenced yard where he can feel safe. He’d do best with teenagers and up, as younger children are too unpredictable for his liking. A calm, mellow dog companion might be fine for him, but bouncy dogs are not a good fit. Cats scare him, but he retreats immediately when they hiss.

Ongoing Health

Tony is a healthy boy with no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Tony is shy and timid, and was not well-socialized as a puppy. He needs patience and kindness to help him blossom at his own pace.
