Lazarus "Lazzie"

💙 Meet Lazarus, also known as Lazzie, Russie, or Laz! 💙

Lazzie is a 3-4 year old, 50 lb. handsome black Lab mix who is a volunteer favorite. He's a calm, gentle, and quiet boy with a gorgeous, shiny coat. Lazzie loves lounging and cuddling on the bed with his people and the other dogs. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes, currently living with a chihuahua and a 70 lb. pittie. He's also been to an adoption event at a local bar where he enjoyed socializing and making new friends, showing he's sweet and gentle with strangers. Lazzie came to us suffering from mange and an upper respiratory infection, found alone in a ditch. Now, he's healthy, strong, and strikingly handsome.

Ideal Home

Lazzie would love a home where he can continue to lounge and cuddle, either with other dogs or as a beloved solo companion. He has shown to be good with dogs of all sizes and likely cat and kid-friendly.

Ongoing Health

Lazzie is fully vaccinated and neutered. He has made a full recovery from his previous skin and respiratory issues.

Training & Support

Lazzie is kennel trained and potty trained. He is generally a well-behaved boy who enjoys companionship.

Transportation

Lazzie is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can take dogs to various locations, potentially across city, county, or state lines. We coordinate with multiple ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. Adopters can track their dog's transport via the Life360 app and receive updates.
