Ariel *Fee Waived

Ariel insists she's a purebred Chihuahua, and she's scratching her head over the whole "Staffy Mix" label! She's about 2.5 years old and weighs between 45-50 pounds. Ariel is a medium-energy dog who absolutely LOVES people. She was very food-motivated upon arrival and has made great progress.

Ideal Home

Ariel needs to be the only pet in the home unless you are experienced and willing to crate and rotate. She does fine in public around non-confrontational animals. While she loves kids and has done well in foster homes with children of all ages, we recommend older children for now due to her mouthing and play-style. She can be fearful of certain taller men wearing baseball caps.

Ongoing Health

Ariel is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has received a ProHeart12 injection.

Training & Support

Ariel needs consistent training to learn appropriate play with children. She was house-trained but had some accidents after an extended stay in boarding. She's already showing improvement in her new foster home. She is also crate-trained.
