Dreamy arrived at our shelter underweight, with every rib and bone showing beneath her tiny frame and her collar hidden by layers of dirt and neglect. Despite her rough start, she remained sweet, gentle, and ready to trust. Now, after weeks of care, she is discovering the joys of a good life! Dreamy is 8 months old and weighs 19 lbs. She's a playful and affectionate girl who is social with both male and female dogs. She loves exploring new experiences, including water, and is learning that people can be safe and kind. Dreamy is still a puppy, and we're working on replacing some trust and resource-guarding behaviors with reassurance, structure, and love. We're confident her confidence will continue to blossom as she learns she'll never have to worry about abandonment or going without again. The biggest thing we've learned about Dreamy is that she wants to love and be loved – she just needed someone to show her how. Welcome to the good life, sweet girl!
