About Mia and Coco in TX

Mia and Coco are approximately 5 and 6 years old, respectively, and weigh about 12 and 13 pounds. These two inseparable best friends are a bonded pair and take great comfort in navigating the world together. They were surrendered and are now looking for a patient and understanding home to call their own.

Coco, a Poodle/Terrier mix, has a more dominant and confident presence and often takes the lead. He is fearful in new situations but his curiosity shines once he feels safe, especially when food is involved! Treats are a great way to earn his trust and help him explore new things. He is still learning house manners and will need continued potty training with patience and positive reinforcement.

Mia, a Terrier/Chihuahua mix, is very fearful when first meeting new people or experiencing new environments. She may freeze, hide, or take time to observe, but she is not sassy or aggressive, just scared. Once she feels safe, especially with familiar people, her happy, playful curiosity comes out. She will need help with potty training and will do best with a patient home that lets her move at her own pace.

Ideal Home

A calm, understanding home that respects their boundaries, embraces their food motivation, and keeps them together. Mia and Coco will do best with a patient owner who can help them build confidence through consistency and gentle, positive reinforcement.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions were mentioned.

Training & Support

Both Mia and Coco will need continued potty training and patience as they learn to trust their new environment and people. A consistent routine and positive reinforcement will be key to helping them build confidence.
