Meet Taylor, a goofy, affectionate girl whose world was turned upside down through no fault of her own. Taylor was originally adopted and spent two years in a loving home before her family had to relocate out of the country due to housing restrictions, making the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. Now, Taylor is hoping someone will give her the second chance she deserves. She's a wonderful companion who absolutely adores people, has never met a stranger she didn't want to be friends with, and loves greeting her favorite humans with her signature zoomies, often carrying a toy as a "gift." She's incredibly expressive, full of personality, and has a silly side that's guaranteed to make you smile every day. Whether she's curling up for a cuddle on the couch, exploring the outdoors, or napping, Taylor is happiest when she's spending time with her people.
Ideal Home
Taylor would thrive in a home where she can continue getting regular exercise and enrichment. Her previous family shared that she's a quiet dog who rarely barks, making her an excellent housemate. She is looking for a home where she can be the only pet due to reactivity toward other dogs on leash. Her ideal home would include a yard where she can run, play, and enjoy her favorite zoomies.
Ongoing Health
Taylor has sensitivity to chicken and seasonal allergies (pollen).
Training & Support
Taylor is food-motivated, making training fun and rewarding. She already knows several commands including sit, down, stay, leave it, off, no, and go potty. While she's generally friendly, she can become overstimulated and reactive toward other dogs, with reactivity distance around 20-30 feet. She may freeze and stare at a distance, and if closer, will start to pull and growl. Her reactivity is less when she has regular exercise or under temporary anxiety medication. She can be a bit snatchy for treats, so an open palm is recommended, though she accepts trades and loses interest quickly. She can be timid and flinch at first but warms up quickly for affection.
