Bomi and Ruee are a bonded mother and son pair who are seeking a patient and loving long-term foster with adoption interest. Bomi, estimated to be 7 years old, was rescued from a dog meat situation, and Ruee, estimated to be 8 years old, was born in a high-kill shelter in South Korea. They were adopted together about seven years ago. Sadly, their owner passed away unexpectedly, and they were rescued from a rural shelter in Beeville, Texas. Their current fosters have been providing them with a safe space for the past six months, but it's time for them to find a permanent home where they can continue their healing journey. These sweet, good-natured dogs have experienced significant loss and upheaval, and they still need time and support to emotionally recover and learn coping skills for stress. They are currently working with a positive reinforcement trainer who sees great potential in them, especially Ruee, who is learning to trust. Bomi is a bit more outgoing, following her people from room to room and enjoying pets, while Ruee is more observant but has made wonderful progress. They both find comfort in each other and have also bonded with their foster sister, Luna.
Ideal Home
A home with a secure backyard is required, as Bomi and Ruee are unable to handle walks outside on leash. They are gentle souls who prefer to avoid conflict and would thrive in a calm and stable environment.
Ongoing Health
Bomi and Ruee have been through a lot and are still on their journey to emotional recovery.
