Blake Shelton is a calm, 2-year-old Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix who weighs 95 pounds. Surrendered to a shelter with his mother, Willow, Blake is a gentle teddy bear who loves attention, belly rubs, walks, and being brushed. He is eager to please and does well with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Blake will be placed as an indoor pet with outdoor privileges. He needs a securely fenced yard accessible from the home; invisible fencing is not suitable, and he should not be trusted off leash. Applicants must be over 25, own their home, and have no children under 7. Resident pets must be vaccinated, sterilized, have a good two-year veterinary history, and have received year-round heartworm prevention with proof of purchase.

Ongoing Health

Foster dogs come with vaccinations up to date. Foster families provide quality food and grooming, while the rescue provides heartworm prevention and approved medical care when needed. Adopters are responsible for veterinary expenses during the two-week trial period unless the rescue is notified before a visit.

Training & Support

Obedience training is recommended to help build a strong bond and support good manners. Great Pyrenees are willing to learn but are independent thinkers and may be less eager to comply with commands than some breeds. Grooming before adoption is not guaranteed, though adopters may request grooming at their own expense.
