Toby

Meet Toby! This handsome 4-year-old German Shepherd mix is a true people-lover, always ready for belly rubs, affection, and plenty of attention. He came to us needing some medical care, and we're thrilled to say he's now ready for his next adventure.

Ideal Home

Toby would thrive in a home where he can be close to his people. He's a loyal, loving, and eager-to-please boy, much like a typical shepherd. He's hoping for a family who will look past his unique nose and ongoing medical needs to give him the loving home he deserves.

Ongoing Health

Toby's biopsy results thankfully ruled out cancer. While lupus couldn't be definitively confirmed or ruled out, he has responded very well to steroid medication. Any potential adopter should have an established veterinarian who can continue monitoring and managing his care. Toby will need to remain on medication for the foreseeable future, and while it's possible he may eventually be able to discontinue it, there is also a chance he could require lifelong treatment.

Training & Support

Toby is a loving and eager-to-please companion. If you have another dog or children in your family, please bring them for a meet and greet to ensure everyone gets along. If you rent your home or apartment, please bring a copy of your lease agreement.
