Layla

Layla is a stunning female German Shepherd, estimated to be around 5 years old. She arrived at the shelter as a stray, so her history before coming to us is unknown. Layla is a unique girl who seems to view humans primarily as providers of meals. She's generally aloof, preferring her own company and not quite understanding the appeal of human interaction for other dogs. However, when she does decide to engage, Layla is happy to entertain those who solicit her attention. She has a bit of a diva personality and sometimes acts like she's in charge! Layla typically doesn't seek out attention or playtime, preferring to relax and do her own thing. She has had limited positive interactions with children.

Ideal Home

Layla would likely thrive in a home where she can be the only dog or with older, laid-back dogs who can tolerate her bossy nature. She is not a good fit for homes with cats or small dogs.

Training & Support

Layla enjoys supervising other dogs and will step in if they get too energetic, acting as the "fun police." She gets along best with dogs who are more laid-back and tolerate her controlling tendencies. Patience and understanding will be key in helping her become a cherished family member.
