Keri is a sweet and well-mannered lady who originally came to us from Kuwait in 2019. She had a tough start in life but was rescued and eventually made her way to us. Keri was adopted in 2020 but, through no fault of her own, recently lost her home. She is a very lazy girl who needs a little encouragement to be a bit more active. Keri is significantly overweight, partly due to a thyroid condition and partly due to being overfed and under-exercised. She generally does well with dogs her own size, but she's not a fan of yippy little dogs and would be perfectly content without canine company. Keri is also not a cat dog. She's a quiet soul who enjoys a good true crime documentary with her favorite person. Keri is looking for a devoted owner who will be her everything, a true ride-or-die companion. She thrives with a one-on-one connection and is happiest when she's the sole focus of her person's attention.
Ideal Home
Keri would do best in a home with a moderately lazy owner who understands her need for gentle encouragement to exercise and will be mindful of her diet. She would not be a good fit for a home with cats or small, yippy dogs.
Ongoing Health
Keri has a thyroid condition that contributes to her weight. She is currently overweight and could benefit from a controlled diet and increased exercise. Her ideal weight is in the mid-40 pound range, and she is currently about 25% over that.
Training & Support
Keri is exceedingly well-mannered and knows many commands. Her main need for support is in managing her weight through proper feeding and consistent, albeit gentle, exercise.
