Meet Parker, a charming 1-year-old Lab mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! This sweet girl is ready to cruise into your life and become your most loyal companion. Parker is a delightful mix of playful energy and snuggle-buddy affection. She's always up for an adventure, whether it's exploring new trails or just enjoying some zoomies in the park, but she's also a professional couch potato who will gladly join you for movie night. Parker is a true gem, just waiting to find her forever home.

Ideal Home

Parker would thrive in a home where she can be a beloved member of the family. She gets along well with other dogs and we are happy to discuss integration techniques for households with cats or children.

Ongoing Health

Parker tested positive for heartworms but is undergoing treatment, which is provided by our organization. Heartworm is transmitted by mosquitoes and is not contagious to people or other pets. While it can be life-threatening if untreated, dogs can lead full and normal lives after treatment, provided they are kept on monthly heartworm prevention. She will need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks following her treatment. We are happy to discuss her current stage in the treatment process.

Training & Support

Parker is currently working on her crate training. Like all our dogs, we cannot guarantee she is housebroken.

• The adoption fee is $475, which includes routine vetting, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.

Transportation

Parker is currently at our shelter. She needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to travel there. Transport can be arranged to bring her to you.
