Vanna

Meet Vanna! She's an approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality. Vanna is a true "velcro dog" who adores being close to her people and will happily be your shadow, whether you're relaxing at home or out on an adventure. She's playful, affectionate, and once she bonds with you, she's happiest by your side.

Ideal Home

Vanna would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise through fetch and walks. She's a great car rider, making her the perfect companion for road trips and outings. Vanna has been trusted to free-roam in her current home and is not destructive; she simply wants to be near her favorite humans. She would do best as the only dog in the home. While she can be playful with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) who don't have resource guarding issues, she's not a fan of smaller dogs and can sometimes be reactive on leash depending on other dogs' behavior. She has done well with dog-savvy cats! Vanna is reserved with strangers initially but warms up to be friendly. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Vanna is spayed and vaccinated. She has experienced significant trauma and is actively working through some challenges.

Training & Support

Vanna is still polishing up her potty training with occasional accidents but is crate trained. She has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people, and will need continued support with leash manners. With patience, consistency, and understanding, Vanna has so much potential to continue growing.
