Thor-boxer

Thor is a handsome and incredibly sweet boy who arrived at the shelter emaciated and in need of some serious TLC. He's gained a significant amount of weight and is blossoming into the happy, healthy pup he was meant to be! Thor loves his people and wants to be near them, whether it's for snuggles or just to keep them in sight. He has a sweet bedtime routine of saying goodnight before settling into his own sleeping spot. He's also been known to nudge his way into his favorite humans' beds for morning greetings. Thor is a playful guy who enjoys outdoor time and romping with his canine friends.

Ideal Home

Thor would do best in a home with children over 4 years old, as he has no history with younger children. He's already shown he can be a great companion to other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Thor has a suspected food allergy that caused him to be emaciated upon arrival. He is currently on a hydrolyzed kibble diet and is slowly being transitioned to new foods to identify sensitivities. He may need to remain on a prescription diet, so his new family must be prepared for the potential cost.

Training & Support

Thor is house-trained and crate-trained. He knows basic commands like "sit" and "give paws." His primary behavioral concern is counter surfing, which is being addressed as he works on gaining weight and absorbing nutrients better.
