Chula

Chula is a beautiful, mostly American Staffordshire Terrier with a hint of Bulldog, American Bulldog, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and Neapolitan Mastiff mixed in! She's a petite, low-rider who was surrendered when her owner had to move and couldn't take her along. Chula is very in-tune with her people, offering comfort when you're sad and always ready for some playful, energetic silliness. She's a wonderful companion who just needs a special person to share her love with.

Ideal Home

Chula needs a quiet home with no little kids and few visitors where she can feel safe and happy. She can be protective and takes time to warm up to new people, especially men. Patience and understanding are key, as she won't be ready to jump into your lap right away.

Ongoing Health

Chula has some sensitivities and behaviors around other dogs due to a past injury where she was attacked by a resident dog, resulting in significant injury to her shoulder. While her shoulder has healed well, this may contribute to her sensitivities. She has learned to tolerate wearing a muzzle to keep everyone safe during vet visits or when meeting new people.

Training & Support

Chula is working on feeling more comfortable around other dogs. She needs an adopter with experience with insecure dogs who can provide patience and understanding as she grows and learns.
