Annabelle is a gentle, affectionate hound who has overcome a difficult start and blossomed into a happy, playful companion. She loves running and playing outside and has a calm, loving presence.

Ideal Home

Annabelle does wonderfully with large dogs and currently lives successfully with a 7-pound dog, though she can be selective with smaller dogs. Introductions should be thoughtful and slow, especially when another dog enters her established space. She would likely do best with older, respectful children in a quieter home, as loud, rambunctious energy can make her uncomfortable.

Ongoing Health

Annabelle is heartworm positive and undergoing slow-kill treatment. She is not eligible for spay surgery until she tests negative. She came into rescue injured and pregnant and has since safely welcomed her babies and healed physically and emotionally.

Training & Support

Annabelle is house-trained, excellent for baths and nail trims, and happily goes into her crate on command. She is a happy, playful, affectionate girl who has worked hard to learn that she is safe and cared for.
