Rye Sweet as Pie Loves Everyone Dog Labrador Retriever

Rye is a 2-year-old, 56 lb (and looking to gain a few more!) Labrador Retriever mix with a personality as bright as sunshine. He's a goofy, happy boy who's guaranteed to bring smiles and snuggles into your life. Rye's greetings are full of enthusiasm, and he's eager to be your best friend and adventure buddy. He can be a little jumpy when excited, but he's a quick learner and a total sweetheart who just wants to be close to his people.

Ideal Home

Rye would thrive in a home that enjoys playtime, walks, and some structure. He's adaptable and could do well in an apartment with plenty of exercise and enrichment, though a house with a yard would be his dream come true.

Ongoing Health

Rye is up-to-date on all his vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and has been spayed/neutered. He recently had a heartworm test and treatment, if needed. A health certificate deeming him healthy for travel is included.

Training & Support

Rye is working on his leash skills and can be a bit eager when walking, but he listens well to corrections and is highly motivated by treats, making training a rewarding experience. He's also been crate trained and potty trained.

Rye is currently located in Texas. He can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system, which includes various drop-off locations across the US and Canada. You can track his journey in real time. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
