Buckle

Buckle and his brother were part of an unwanted litter of puppies born in a rural town. Their mother was surrendered to a shelter we help when they were very young. We were able to save them because one of our fosters agreed to bring them into her home. Buckle has been in our care since he was 5 weeks old, and he has completed his veterinary care. Now he's ready to find his person!

Buckle is a very mellow pup. He likes to play but isn't hyper. He is almost house-trained and is learning to potty outside. He is crate-trained and leash-trained. He loves other dogs and has been with children as young as 6. He is 6 months old and weighs 30 pounds. We think he's a Hound mix. His mother weighs 35 pounds, so he'll likely be a medium-sized adult.

Ideal Home

Buckle would thrive in a home that appreciates his mellow nature. He has enjoyed the company of children as young as 6 and other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Buckle is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. He is also microchipped, heartworm negative, and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Buckle is crate trained and leash trained and is nearly house-trained. Continued positive reinforcement will help him master his potty habits.
