Latte is a spirited and loving 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix who weighs about 52 pounds. She's a young girl with a big heart and a lot of potential, eager to find her forever family. Latte was rescued in December 2025 and has blossomed beautifully in her foster home, thanks to consistent structure and positive guidance. She's a treat-motivated learner who already knows "sit" and "down," and she's working hard on her leash manners. While she can be a bit hesitant in new environments, her foster mom is helping her build confidence by exploring different places. Latte has shown no reaction to people or other dogs on walks and has even been gentle around small children and babies. She truly wants to be a good dog and will make a wonderful companion for an active family.
Ideal Home
Latte is a high-energy dog who would thrive in an active household that can provide her with plenty of physical exercise and ongoing training. She would absolutely love having another playful dog to share her days with, as she can get quite excited around new canine friends. If she were the only dog in the home, she would need daily exercise and enrichment to keep her happy and engaged.

Latte is a healthy young dog who has been spayed and is up-to-date on her vaccinations.
Training & Support
Latte is working on her leash manners and gaining confidence in new environments. She is house-trained and comfortable in her crate for up to four hours at a time, with no signs of separation anxiety. With her eagerness to learn and affectionate nature, she'll continue to thrive with continued positive reinforcement and guidance.

Transporation
Latte is currently located in Houston, Texas, and can be transported to approved adopters. Transport is included in the adoption donation and runs every few weeks. If you have specific timing constraints for receiving a dog, please apply closer to that time.
