Katana

Katana is a sweet 3-year-old Presa mix with a heart full of love to give. She's a medium-energy girl who enjoys hanging with her people, snoozing, going for long walks, and playing. Katana is very treat motivated and thrives on affection. She was unfortunately a victim of abuse before coming to rescue, arriving emaciated and fearful. It's taken months of patient care and reassurance to help her trust humans again, and she's now a happy, healthy 108 lbs. She needs a stable family that can continue to provide her with structure and unwavering love.

Ideal Home

Katana would do best in a home with older children (5+) who have experience with giant breeds. She may be able to live with a large, laid-back male dog over 60 lbs with slow introductions and supervision, but absolutely no small dogs.

Ongoing Health

Katana is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment. All necessary medications to complete her treatment will be sent with her. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Katana is housebroken and crate trained. She's almost got her leash training down and is working on basic obedience. She will thrive with a family that can provide continued structure and reassurance.

Transportation

Katana is located at The Bullpen Way Station & Sanctuary and is available for adoption nationwide. Preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. We prioritize perfect placements to ensure our dogs are never failed again.
