Despite her own distress and malnutrition, Mia's maternal instincts shone through. She and her pups were rescued and have since recovered, allowing Mia to finally rest, heal, and rediscover what it's like to just be a dog again.

Today, Mia is a sweet, playful, and gentle companion who thrives in the company of other dogs, now that she feels safe and loved. She is likely a cattle dog or heeler mix and is healthy, happy, and eagerly awaiting her forever home. Mia poured all her strength into protecting her puppies, even when faced with cruelty. Transporation

Mia is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Transport to the US and Canada is available with flight companions. During summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border.
