Nellie

Meet Nellie! This gentle giant is a Great Pyrenees mix, estimated to be around 7-8 years old and weighing approximately 80 lbs. Nellie came to us when her owner could no longer care for himself, and by extension, her. She arrived in rough shape but clearly had been well-loved.

Nellie can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, likely due to limited exposure in her previous home. However, with patience and by following the lead of her canine companions, she has truly blossomed in her foster home! She now showers her foster parents with kisses and enthusiastic tail wags upon their return. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and enjoys patrolling the fence line, keeping a watchful eye on everything, especially large birds overhead. Her foster family cherishes her protective nature, as she looks after her smaller foster siblings. Nellie is housebroken and comfortable being un-crated when left alone.

Ongoing Health

Nellie has fully recovered from the removal of a benign mass on her paw pad. She has 3 toes on that paw but navigates with ease. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on preventative.

Training & Support

Nellie is housebroken and can be left alone un-crated.
