Meet Ken – The Goofy Gentleman with a Heart of Gold

Ken is the definition of a super hunk in the making — handsome, loyal, and just a little bit goofy in the best possible way. Once a volunteer favorite at Kern County Shelter, Ken was known for being the “uncle” dog — the gentle soul who comforted scared puppies and kept the peace among his kennel mates. When his time at the shelter ran out, Woof Tribe Sanctuary & Rescue couldn’t let this sweetheart be forgotten. When Ken arrived, he was heartbreakingly thin and struggling with severe kennel cough and a respiratory infection. He’s fought hard through several rounds of treatment and is now on the mend, regaining strength (and weight!) every day. Ken may have a slight head tilt and possible neurological quirks still being evaluated — but honestly, it only makes him more endearing. It’s part of his charm, a little extra reminder that perfection comes in all forms. Ken’s favorite things include hanging out with dogs big and small, playing with toys (especially squeaky ones!), going for walks and showing off his leash manners, and soaking up attention from his humans. This gentle, goofy boy is ready to leave the hard days behind and find a forever home that will love him for exactly who he is.

Ideal Home

Ongoing Health

Ken was treated for severe kennel cough and a respiratory infection. He is on the mend and regaining strength and weight. He may have a slight head tilt and possible neurological quirks still being evaluated. His neuter appointment is pending. Vaccinations are up to date and he is microchipped.

Training & Support

Ken shows good leash manners.
