You know that one friend who's always up for anything but maybe doesn't always follow the rules? That's Luka! This 4-year-old Husky is a total goofball with a heart full of love. He's incredibly affectionate and wants nothing more than to be by your side, soaking up all the pets. While he might not be the most obedient when it comes to commands – he does love doing the opposite of what you say – his loving nature more than makes up for it! Luka is good with other dogs, especially females, though he does need a little time to warm up to new canine friends. He's also a hit with kids at adoption events and would do best with older children who understand and respect a dog's space. He's been a wonderful guest in his foster home, with the only reported issue being a dislike of having blood drawn at the vet – can you really blame him?
Ideal Home
Luka would thrive in a home that enjoys walks or has a backyard for playtime. He loves to play but shouldn't be left unattended in the yard, as he's an escape artist who just wants to be with his people! He's perfectly happy and safe in his crate when left alone.
Ongoing Health
Luka is a little overweight and could benefit from a weight management plan.
Training & Support
Luka enjoys marking indoors and is currently on a crate and rotate system at his foster home due to multiple dogs. His foster believes consistent walks and more time outside of his crate will greatly improve his house-training success.
