ANNDALINA

Anndalina is a 9 ½-year-old Chihuahua mix with a black and white coat. She's part of our TLC program, meaning she'll receive special follow-up support, including visits with a professional behaviorist, after adoption. Anndalina came to us as an emergency surrender after a distressing incident where she was trying to chew her tail. Our vet determined that amputation was necessary to prevent infection, and she has since recovered from surgery in a foster home. This experience has left her needing a patient and understanding home to help her blossom.

Ideal Home

Anndalina would do best in a quiet home with a single person or a couple. She needs a fenced-in yard and is not suited for apartment living. Due to her sensitive nature, she should be in a home without children and where her Chihuahua bark won't be an issue. She can become overwhelmed by too many visitors, so a calm environment is key.

Ongoing Health

Anndalina's tail was amputated due to an infection. She has fully recovered from the surgery.

Training & Support

Anndalina is working on her potty training basics. She is a nervous girl who will need time to adjust and settle into a new home. Once she bonds with her people, she is very affectionate, but this may take a while. Her TLC program involvement will provide professional behavioral support.
