Hi, my name is Ned! I'm a handsome boy with fur that looks black but gleams a rich brown in the sun. My little white-tipped toes are pretty cute, too! While I might have a permanently grumpy expression, I'm actually a super happy and loving pup. I made the journey from New Mexico to Minnesota with my siblings, Dusty and Lucky, as part of "The Three Amigos."
I'm a smart cookie – already potty trained and kennel trained, though I'm trustworthy enough to be left out while you're away. At night, I'm a world-class snuggler, preferring to sleep right by my foster mom's side. I know "sit," "off," "come," and "wait," and I'm working on "down" and "stay." Training classes sound like a blast, and I bet it would be a great way for us to bond! My favorite activities include chasing anything that rolls, playing tug-of-war with unstuffed toys, and using my nose to find hidden treats. I do have a bit of a counter-surfing habit, but I'm learning with a firm "off."
Don't let my bark fool you; it's a bit of a squeaky surprise, not what you'd expect from a pittie! It tends to get higher when I'm scared, but luckily that doesn't happen too often. I absolutely love to wrestle and play with dogs of all sizes. My foster mom calls me "Jaws" because I love to show off my teeth and gums when I play – it's my way of looking tough, though she seems to find it amusing! Another nickname is "Snuffles" because I eat from a snuffle mat to help me slow down. I'm also a fast drinker, so my water is rationed. I get along well with the resident dogs, but I'm the smallest and sometimes get picked on.
I have a human foster sister who's 10, and we're great pals. I've also enjoyed meeting her friends, so I'm friendly with kids. I might bark and jump a little at first, but I'm just trying to be a good boy! I haven't met a cat yet, but I'd probably be curious to say hello.
Ideal Home
I really need another dog to live with. I rely on my foster brother for support, comfort, and warmth every day, and I need a canine companion to lay on, cuddle with, and wrestle with. I'm not built to be an only dog. A family that has time to be with me, play with me, walk me, and teach me things would be amazing. I'd love to sleep in your bed and cuddle on the sofa!
