Ian TE

Meet Ian! This 1.5-year-old Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix is a little dog with a whole lot of heart. Ian proves every day that a rough start doesn't define your future. He previously suffered a hip injury, which has healed beautifully, and his happy, playful spirit never missed a beat.

Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of contagious joy. He loves attention, enjoys romping around with his toys, and is always ready for a cuddle when playtime winds down. He does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a home with canine friends. Ian also loves his food and is happily not picky. He eats from a slow-feeder bowl to help him enjoy his meals at a healthy pace and aid digestion.

Ideal Home

Ian would do well in a home with canine friends. He needs frequent potty breaks due to his medical condition.

Ongoing Health

Ian has Diabetes Insipidus, which affects how his body concentrates urine and has nothing to do with blood sugar. He takes oral medication twice daily to maintain healthy urine concentration and support full bladder emptying. This medication may be lifelong or temporary, depending on future veterinary guidance. The cost of medication can vary.

Training & Support

Ian is doing wonderfully on his routine and is otherwise a happy, active, affectionate young dog. He is looking for a loving home that will appreciate his joyful personality and continue his simple daily care so he can thrive for years to come.
