Meet Sky!
Sky is a charming 4-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Red Heeler mix, weighing in at about 60 pounds. She's a loyal and gentle soul who loves to be by your side. Sky walks beautifully on a leash, is submissive, and is already crate and house trained, making her a breeze to integrate into a loving household. She's also wonderfully calm around other animals, including cats and squirrels, so you can take her on walks and outings with confidence. While Sky can be a bit shy with new people, she warms up quickly once she feels safe, revealing her sweet and affectionate nature. She was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas, as a puppy along with her siblings after being abandoned. Now, she's ready to find a patient, stable, and loving forever family.
Ideal Home
Sky would thrive in a home with families who enjoy outdoor activities and have a fenced backyard. She does best with families who have experience with dog behavior and training, and who have a high tolerance and patience for rescued animals.
Ongoing Health
Sky has completed her spay/neuter, DHPPI and rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. She has also tested negative for heartworm and has a health certificate.
Training & Support
Sky is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She may need a little time to warm up to strangers. She is not noted as having any specific bad behaviors that need work, but her listing mentions that this rescue organization does not house-train each pet due to the large number of animals they care for.

Transportation
Sky is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is available for transport to the East Coast and PNW. The transport fee is $400.00, to be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
