Sherry

Sherry is a sweet, mellow girl with a unique heritage. She's a Potcake, a special breed of dog originating from the Caribbean islands. The name "Potcake" comes from a traditional local dish where the overcooked rice stuck to the bottom of the pot was mixed with leftovers and fed to the dogs. Sherry is still adjusting to her new surroundings and can be a bit unsure of the world around her. She is loving, but thrives with a gentle and patient approach. She seems to do well with other dogs, particularly those who are respectful and understand her need to go at her own pace. If you have another dog at home, we encourage them to meet Sherry at the shelter to ensure a good fit for the pack.
