Michelle was rescued from euthanasia and is now thriving in a foster home in Houston, Texas, eagerly awaiting her second chance at a loving family.
Michelle is a social butterfly, especially with other dogs. She loves to play and nap with her canine companions, and while she can be a bit enthusiastic due to her size, she's great at reading their cues and adjusting her play style. She has a wonderful balance of playful energy outdoors and a mellow, happy demeanor indoors, making her a delightful housemate. Michelle has met children ages 8 and up and has been very sweet and loving. However, she does tend to jump when excited, so a home with children 12+ or dog-savvy teens would be ideal to manage her enthusiasm.

Michelle is fully housebroken and crate trained, and she even enjoys resting in her crate during the day. She is highly food-motivated and a quick learner, though she does have a tendency to be a bit sneaky with food, so she is fed separately. Continued leash training will help her improve her walking manners, and supervision when she's unsupervised is important due to her love for chewing and her escape-artist tendencies. Positive redirection works well for her.
