Aunt Trixie needs foster

Aunt Trixie is a sweet and affectionate 1.5-year-old Blue Heeler cross who weighs just over 40 pounds. She came to us with an old, healed broken leg and pelvis, likely from being hit by a car. There are bone fragments present, and she experiences pain and has limitations on her movements. Trixie needs surgery on her femur and a quiet place to recover and regain her strength. She is sociable and very playful, often getting a little too excited when playing with the other young dogs in her foster home, which isn't ideal for her healing process. We're hoping to find a foster home without other active dogs, where she can have a calm environment for her recovery.

Training & Support

Trixie is sociable and playful. She may need physical therapy after surgery, and her foster may need to transport her to appointments, though this is currently unclear.
