About Cheetah - Orange Collar - NBT
Cheetah is a vibrant and animated puppy, full of spunk and personality! She approaches life with enthusiasm and confidence, always giving her whole effort and intensity whether she's playing, exploring, or interacting with people and her littermates. Because she invests so much energy into her experiences, she also requires significant rest and is often one of the first to settle deeply after periods of activity – she truly plays hard and rests hard!
During her early neurological stimulation, Cheetah initially found certain exercises challenging and required time to process new sensations. Rather than shutting down, she worked through those moments gradually, building confidence through repetition and exposure. Over time, her recovery improved significantly, and she now navigates novel experiences with increased ease, curiosity, and resilience. This progression highlights her growing ability to adapt and gain confidence through structured exposure.
Cheetah has a solid medium energy level at this stage, with clear potential to mature into a higher-energy adult as she develops. She has an active mind, enjoys engagement, and demonstrates a healthy amount of natural drive. She is eager to participate in activities and enjoys interacting with people, making her both fun and motivating to work with.
One area that will require continued guidance is emotional and arousal regulation. Cheetah becomes highly engaged very quickly, and once excited, she can struggle to recognize when it is time to settle. During play, this may present as overstimulation or mouthy behavior, particularly when she has difficulty disengaging from the moment. This is not an indicator of instability, but rather a reflection of her enthusiasm and intensity, which will need to be shaped into appropriate outlets.
Ideal Home
Cheetah will thrive in an active, structured home that embraces training, engagement, and consistent guidance. She will do best with a family or individual who enjoys working closely with their dog and is committed to teaching clear expectations around both activity and rest. She needs a home that provides balance, offering outlets for her physical energy and mental engagement while also reinforcing calm, structured downtime. She would excel in environments that include her in daily life such as walks, outings, training sessions, and interactive play. She also has strong potential for performance or enrichment-based activities such as obedience, rally, agility, or scent work, though these are not required for her to be fulfilled. What she needs most is consistency, structure, and leadership that helps her channel her enthusiasm into appropriate behaviors.
Ongoing Health
Cheetah will receive proper vaccinations and deworming before going home. She will also receive proper vet checks and health care.
Training & Support
Cheetah's enthusiasm and intensity means she can become highly engaged quickly and may struggle to settle when excited. This can sometimes lead to overstimulation or mouthing during play, especially when she has difficulty disengaging. Consistent guidance will be key to helping her learn to regulate her arousal and channel her energy appropriately. With the right guidance, Cheetah is expected to mature into a highly engaging, fun, and deeply rewarding companion.
