Meet Rover, your next adventure buddy!

Rover is a handsome 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur with an athletic spirit and a gentle heart, ready to be your loyal sidekick. He naturally bonds with women and may be a bit cautious around men initially, so he needs a patient adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace. Once he feels safe, his true, faithful companion personality shines through, and he'll want nothing more than to be by your side for hikes, relaxing at home, or cruising around town.

This active boy loves fetch, running, exploring, and especially splashing in water! Lakes, pools, sprinklers – if water is involved, Rover is all in. He’s also a great car rider, walks nicely on a leash, and is always happy to join new adventures. Rover enjoys other dogs who understand good manners and give him personal space at first, and he has lived peacefully with cats and chickens. He is potty trained, kennel trained, and well-mannered in the home.

Ideal Home

Rover could do very well in an apartment if his adopter is home much of the day and committed to providing daily exercise and enrichment. Due to his ability to climb a 6-foot wooden privacy fence, supervised outdoor time or a very secure yard is important.

Ongoing Health

Rover is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.

Training & Support

Rover is potty trained and kennel trained. He's a well-mannered boy who loves to play and explore.
