Poppy

Mr. Poppy is an adorable little fella who is a spitfire to say the least! He came from a hoarding situation with many other dogs and was initially petrified. He prefers adults and is what we call our "Parrot dog." He is happy to be laying with you, in your lap, or lounging on your shoulder watching TV. He does currently sleep in bed with his foster parents, so he will need a home where this is okay and furniture is not off-limits.

Ideal Home

Mr. Poppy will require a home with at least one other smaller to medium-sized pup or a home where his people are home more often than not. We are recommending no children under 15 for this little guy. He wants to be the only "kid" in the house. He does not do well on car rides, so he will be happy to just hang out at the house with you, rather than going on trips to the store, etc. We would suggest a home that is not extremely active as he is reactive to strangers when they first come into the home.

Training & Support

He can be crated and should be when you are not home, but he really doesn't care for it. He will still run from you if he feels threatened or knows you want to put him in his crate.
