Hiromi is a 4-year-old, 36 lb Belgian Malinois mix with a sweet spirit that shines through, even after a tough start on the streets of Matamoros, Mexico. Found underweight and covered in ticks, she's blossomed into a happy, healthy, and active girl eager to find her forever family. Hiromi is social with adults and has an energetic personality perfect for an active household. She can be a little shy initially but quickly becomes affectionate and loving once she feels comfortable. She's crate and leash trained, making her a great companion for walks and adventures. Hiromi is intelligent and thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation. She's ready for her happy ending, a home where she'll be cherished as a family member.
Ideal Home
Hiromi would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard. She needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the unique needs of street animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer to help this intelligent girl reach her full potential. High tolerance and patience for rescued dogs are essential.
Ongoing Health
Hiromi has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated with DHPPI (2 shots) and Rabies, and received a Bordetella vaccine. She is dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She also received a 4DX test and her monthly preventive protection includes Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Hiromi is crate and leash trained. However, it's important to understand that as a rescued dog, she may not be house-trained and will require patience and understanding as she adjusts to a new environment. She needs regular exercise and mental stimulation.
