Pippa Love Secret Keeper

Soft-eyed, soulful, and quietly full of love... this is Pippa Love. She has one of those faces that makes you pause for a second, and then those eyes take over completely. Pippa has a calm, tender presence about her, and while she likes to take it a little slower at first, there is something very special waiting on the other side of that trust.

Pippa Love is estimated to be around 2.5 years old and weighs 66 lbs. She appears to be a Catahoula and Pittie mix, though with rescue, breed and age are always our best guess. What we do know is that she is a loving girl with a gentle spirit, a calm way about her, and the kind of sweetness that feels even more meaningful because it is earned slowly and honestly. She is the kind of dog who quietly becomes your whole world. The kind you look over at one day and realize you cannot imagine the house without her in it. The kind whose soft eyes and gentle heart sneak up on you in the very best way. If you are looking for a dog with depth, sweetness, and a truly lovely spirit, Pippa Love is your girl!

Ideal Home

Pippa would do well in a home with a medium-energy dog who enjoys running and playing, especially one who can help show her the ropes without overwhelming her. She would also likely enjoy a home with a yard or a quieter, more suburban-style apartment setting where she can settle in at her own pace.

Ongoing Health

Pippa is up to date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. She has also been spayed, tested for heartworm, and microchipped with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Pippa is easygoing and enjoyable on leash, preferring a leisurely stroll to a power walk. She responds best to gentle guidance and sweet talk, as stern pressure or harsh corrections can affect her sensitive nature. Confidence with new routines or places is built through kindness and patience, and with this approach, Pippa will undoubtedly show her quiet confidence. With other dogs, Pippa is thoughtful and slow to warm up, but quickly softens into a playful, light-hearted girl who enjoys a good game of chase. She is adaptable and can adjust her playstyle to suit different dogs, from small and nervous to larger and more boisterous. She also demonstrates a thoughtful approach in larger playgroups, not overcorrecting or overmanaging other dogs.

Transportation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
