Meet Chrissie! Chrissie is a 10-ish year old female bichon and she weighs about 11 pounds. Chrissie arrived in rescue after being surrendered to a shelter and being very scared. She was also heartworm positive, but has been treated and is doing great! She has settled into foster care and is starting to thrive and is ready for a forever home. Her foster mom says: Chrissie is a sweet, quiet, loving, and gentle little girl . As a mature gal, she is not interested in toys or playing but prefers to snuggle close to you. She is not leash trained (we are working on it), but she enjoys exploring the fenced yard on her own. Her new family will need to continue training with positive reinforcement and a harness. She appears to be house broken on a schedule but will use piddle pads inside. She rarely barks but when she does, it's very soft and only when she's trying to get your attention. She is crate trained but crating is not necessary, as she is not destructive. She ignores the cats, so a feline friendly household is not a problem. She is a darter, so be sure your garage door is down before you go out and that she can't bolt out the front door! Chrissie would do best in a quiet, fenced yard home without young children where she can enjoy her golden years. However, no frail adults, as her small size may cause a tumble. She is affectionate but does not demand constant attention. Chrissie is loving and eager to please. Open your home and your heart to her and she will bring a smile to your face.
Chrissie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm medication microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned.
Chrissie is fostered in the Flagler Beach area and her adoption donation is $275.
