FROM THE FOSTER: Meet Houston! A sweet, sensitive soul who's equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle expert! This pup lives for the simple joys in life, snuggling up on a soft blanket but he especially enjoys snuggles and love from his people.
He loves chasing balls around the yard, and has especially taken interest in a slightly deflated soccer ball. He loves walks and exploring new places, we have been working on his leash manners, and he's doing much better. He does have that puppy energy and excitement, so he occasionally pulls to go and sniff something new.
As for dog friends... he loves them! He will jump and immediately start to play with whoever will give him the time of day, and not every dog is up for that, so having a playmate to put up with Houston and match his energy and put him in his place when necessary is ideal.
After a long day you'll always find Houston nibbling on a comfort toy or soaking up attention, he is very respectful and saves his energy for the outdoors.
He's got a gentle heart and does best with patient, understanding people who will give him direction when necessary. He prefers calm, respectful interactions, especially during mealtime when he likes his space. Big or unfamiliar objects, such as brooms or anything suddenly in someone's hand, can make him nervous, so slow interactions and reassurance go a long way. With trust he truly shines.
Car rides and baths? He'll tolerate them... but let's just say they're not his favorite part of the day.
Overall, he's a loyal, loving companion and goofball who thrives on comfort, routine, and kindness. Once he trusts you, you've got a best friend for life!
